Friday is the day! We are excited to get started, it is looking to be a fabulous co-op year! Please try to arrive a bit early on Friday to allow time for everyone to figure out where they need to be. I know it is the first time many of you have been in the building, I also know its hard to get out the door in the morning! The location is just behind the Catholic Pastoral Center at 523 N Duluth Ave . If you look it up on google maps it is St. Joseph's School. Go in the doors under the St. Joseph's sign and head downstairs. We will meet in the large gathering room the first week and split up into classes. After the first week, the kids can head straight to their first class. I would like the assistants of the first period classes to be ready to lead their students to class this first week. When you arrive, I will have a check in station where you will check your child's name as attending that week, there will also be a schedule there where I will highlight any open positions for that day. If you know you are going to be gone, please find your own replacement and email or text me that you will not be there and who is taking your place. This keeps us following the two deep leadership rule. If you see a job highlighted and can help to fill that position that week, write your name next to the slot and fill the position. We have decided we are going to try to do the Angelus at 11:50 in the main gathering space downstairs. I know it might be a bit hectic at that time but the hope is the leader will announce it and we will start right at 11:50. It is a short prayer and will only take a few minutes. I will have cards with the prayer in the room. The idea is that we can gather again to pray and people can still make it to Mass at 12:00 if they would like. If the weather is nice people will often go to a park after co-op to play and eat lunch, keep an eye on the forum for announcements about when and where. Last year we added what I will call the Family pick up station, in the main gathering area there will be a designated place with each families name printed on a piece of paper. Your children's art work, papers and other things to take home will be placed in that pile for you to pick up on your way out. It really worked out great last year and reduced the amount of art work and papers floating around and lost! On Friday Janice will be there first period to collect tuition. Also, if you have not paid dues to SMF for this year you need to do that before October 1st to remain an active member. I will have an envelope on the sign in table with a sign "SMF dues ", you can leave a check in there or pay on the website. I am very grateful that we split the classes up earlier in the summer, you will see that several new families have joined! The classes are bigger but I think still a nice size and lots of new friends to make! I hope I am not missing anything obvious! but if there is something I missed, please email me! If you have a question, I am sure others have the same question. See you all on Friday at 8:30! Amanda

Hey everyone! I am super excited to get back to the co-op and I think we are going to have an amazing year! I am excited to meet all the new families and the kids are always excited to make new friends! I will re-post some of the same info here and some things that have changed. We had to split the k-8th co-op into 4 groups because some of the classes were just getting too large! So the groups are K-1, 2-4,5-6, and 7-8. This made a huge difference , as now the class sizes are under 12 kids each. Thanks to all the teachers who stepped up to teach another class! We couldn't do this without you! On the attached schedule you will see where you are assisting/teaching for the Fall semester. We have added a Preschool this year. I also have names down for child care. These moms will be in charge of watching the littles of the teachers/assistants for that period. Co-op starts at 8:30 am on September 9th. Please enter the Cathedral School door behind the Catholic Pastoral Center building next to the Cathedral, under the sign "St. Joseph's School". Go down the stairs and in the first door on the right. When you come the first day Janice or I will be there to collect the checks for the teachers and registration. registration for k-6th grade is $50 7/8th graders pay the teachers directly but we will collect it and give it to them so we don't disrupt class. English $50 Meteorology $50 Art History $20 Here are the dates again for the fall September 9,16,23 30 field trip October 7,14,21 28 field trip November 4,11,18 No field trip due to Thanksgiving. We will plan to add one in early December instead. Keep your eye out for the field trip info on the forum. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions, or if you feel I missed something. Thanks! Amanda Steele
