Is anyone able to be a help in the 9:05 Botany class tomorrow? I have to stay home with my youngest 3, who are not feeling well.

My mom is in her last agonies after a long battle with cancer. She stopped eating and drinking several days ago and is asleep most of the time and will only take pain meds from a dropper. Please keep her and my dad in your prayers as it will be any time now. Thank you all so much.

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else is planning to join the Homeschool Band offered through Schmitt Music? We're pretty excited over here. 😁 Here's the info from the facebook post: Sioux Falls Home School Band Who: All home school students ages 8-18 When: Wednesdays, Fall Semester: September 1 – December 8 (no rehearsal on Sept 8 or Nov 24), Spring Semester: January 26 – April 27 (no rehearsal April 13) 13 rehearsals each semester. No make ups for missed rehearsals. 13 weeks are allotted each semester to include the chance of one snow day. Time: 11:00 – 11:45 Intermediate Band (students who have finished method book 1) 12:00 – 12:45 Beginning Woodwind Section (no prior experience) 1:00 – 1:45 Beginning Brass Section (no prior experience) 2:00 – 2:45 Beginning Percussion Section (no prior experience) ** An Advanced Ensemble may be formed if needed** Where: Rehearsals will be at Schmitt Music: 1209 W 41st Street, 605-339-6030 Cost: $150 per semester (around $11.50/class), due at first rehearsal Supply List: an instrument in good repair, Tradition of Excellence Bk 1 (Beg Band), Tradition of Excellence Bk 2 (Int Band), 3-ring 1” binder, 6 plastic sheet protectors, fine tip dry erase marker, pencil, tuner (Beg Band) Schmitt Music is offering a special deal to registered Homeschool Band students on instrument rentals. Pay $40 down ($55 for saxophone) and get a 4-month trial period before your next payment (the normal trial period is 3 months). This means you will get the first semester rental for only $40 and regular monthly payments won’t begin until January. PLUS Schmitt Music is including with each rental to Homeschool Band members a free Tradition of Excellence method book, free oil/grease/reeds, free fold up stand, and a free tuner!! That is a generous offer that will save you lots of money on items you will need to buy for your music student. Tentative Concert Dates (time & place TBD): Saturday, December 11 and Saturday, April 30 Concert Dress: Musicians will wear all black: black shirt, black pants or skirt/dress that is below the knees, black shoes Students are to arrive 10 min before rehearsal time and be set up and ready to play when rehearsal time begins. All cell phones MUST be turned off and stored in instrument cases during rehearsals. Meet & Greet/Instrument Petting Zoo @ Friday, August 27 1:00 – 2:00 pm: Please come by Schmitt Music and the director, Heather Goddard, and take advantage of the opportunity to have your student touch, handle and even play instruments to help them make the decision on which instrument they want to play. Sometimes the instrument they think they will like in their head doesn’t turn out in reality to be the one that best suits the facial anatomy. Actually playing an instrument can help make a decision that will be successful for a student.

Anyone want this Ikea bed? It's smaller than a twin, but bigger than a toddler bed. It comes with one fitted sheet. Free!

Brand New! We are selling TAN Publishing's Story of Civilization, Vol. IV The History of the United States. I have the Text book, the Timeline, and the Activity book. We're going a different route for our American History for next year. This was $55 new, I'm selling for $40.
